Well Deserved Honor for a True Icon

Thomas Pheasant

Thomas Pheasant, award-winning interior designer recognized internationally for his interior designs and furniture collections, will be honored as the 2016 Design Icon during Winter Las Vegas Market, January 24-28, 2016. Pheasant will share his experiences working with an impressive array of high-profile clients, as well as impart his design wisdom and philosophies.

The centerpiece of programming at Las Vegas Winter Market, the Design Icon Award honors an interior designer who has made a significant contribution to the industry throughout their career. Now in its 10th year, the Design Icon Award seeks to both highlight the achievements of important designers and to offer Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to learn from living legends.

In 2005, he was honored by Architectural Digest with the distinction “Dean of American Design”. He is a fixture on the AD100, the annual list of top architects and designers compiled by Architectural Digest, where he has remained from 2000 to present. The magazine describes Pheasant’s work as having “restraint, clarity and timelessness.”

His book, Simply Serene: The New Luxury for Modern Interiors, is a lavishly illustrated monograph that highlights, through images and words, the philosophy that guides the fundamental principles that are at the heart of his work.

As the most recent honoree, Pheasant joins the ranks of the industry’s leading designers who have been recognized as past Design Icons during Las Vegas Market, including Carleton Varney, Vladimir Kagan, Juan Montoya, Vincente Wolf, Christopher Guy, Larry Laslo, Roger Thomas, Jamie Drake, Alexa Hampton and Barbara Barry.
